The jagged pass was not scenic. She did enjoy a good hike, but her preference was somewhere forested. Mountainous areas were easier to appreciate in the spring. Fighting heat or cold really took the enjoyment out of the trip. Still, she hiked without complaint alongside Magearna. She was on the hunt for something special, and she thought she had seen a flicker of something up here that aligned with her wish.

Ameena paused to open her bag. Magearna hovered beside her, curious. Ameena pulled out a small energy bar. "Not for you," she chided as the Magearna got even closer to it. She moved the bar out of reach. "You do not eat." Still, the Magearna was curious. Magearna left no personal space as it hugged close to her. Ameena sighed and continued walking, eating along the way.

Magearna beeped beside her. Ameena sighed softly. Despite the neediness of the pokemon, she had a soft spot for her. Magearna was the lasting gift she had from Amor. She didn't want to harm the pokemon nor neglect her. It was sometimes hard to justify bringing her out for battle, as Ameena truly wanted to protect her, but she understood Duchess to be a protector. "Good girl," she praised at the Magearna's proximity, reaching out to rub at her head.

Magearna beeped pleasantly as they came across a Chimecho. The Chimecho's chimes complemented the lower noises of Magearna. The two spoke in some pokemon language she couldn't understand. Or, perhaps, none of them could understand each other and it was all about intent. She couldn't speak to it, but they seemed happy enough. Chimecho was a worthless pokemon in combat, but Ameena wanted Magearna to be satisfied. The Magearna didn't get a lot of personal attention from Ameena these days, so it was a small concession. "We need to hurry along, now." The two continued to chitter chatter as the trio moved forward.
